Westerholz cemetery
For 857 people, Westerholz cemetery became their place of final rest. These were largely the victims of the work re-education camp 21. Right into the mid-eighties little was known about the victims of the National Socialist terror regime buried there. Today, a memorial stone offers remembrance to these people who lost their lives as a result of the barbaric living conditions, the maltreatment and the executions that prevailed in the Gestapo’s special camp.
